Introduction

At Apni Pathshala, every team plays a crucial role in ensuring our students get the best learning experience. Whether it’s managing new PODs, enhancing digital safety, tackling technical issues, or running creative campaigns, our teams are working together to make a big impact. This week was filled with exciting achievements, new partnerships, and a few challenges that our teams are tackling head-on. Let’s take a look at the updates from the POD Team, Tech Team, Computer Team, and Social Media Team.

POD Team

POD team working together

The POD Team works to bring new PODs on board, support existing POD leaders, and ensure smooth operations. They help connect communities to digital education and grow the Apni Pathshala network across India.

Achievements

  • 6 new POD applications were received in the last 15 days, and the team is currently working on 17+ POD applications.
  • 3 new PODs will be joining us this week: Baptist High School Jalukie and Baptist Higher Secondary School Peren from Nagaland, and Deseeya Sevabharathi Keralam from Kerala.
  • The team signed MOUs with 2 new NGOs: Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti from Delhi and University of Calicut from Kerala.
  • The team is organizing the first Growth Session for the 2.1 PODs.
  • Implemented Google Forms for automating weekly updates from the PODs.

Challenges

  • Coordinating with some PODs, has been challenging due to the need for multiple reminders.
  • Difficulties in maintaining content quality.
  • Timely report sharing has been a challenge, as reports should ideally be submitted by Friday, not on weekends.

Tech Team

Website team created dadicated page for new POD applicants.

The Tech Team at Apni Pathshala is made up of different groups, including the Website Team and the Student Safety Software Team, working together to build and maintain our digital infrastructure. They ensure everything runs smoothly and securely, from our websites to the student safety systems.

Website Team

The Website Team keeps Apni Pathshala’s online world running smoothly. They manage the website, protect it from attacks, create interactive pages, and make sure students and PODs can access resources easily and safely.

Achievements

  • Introduced Cloudflare to prevent bot attacks and DDoS threats, which previously caused website downtime.
  • Created a dedicated page for new POD applicants, replacing the old Google Form, which was unclear.
  • Added a thank-you popup that appears after every comment on the blog, creating a more interactive user experience.
  • Developed courses that will be available for PODs and students to access.
  • Automated KPI tracking, improving workflow efficiency.

Challenges

  • The team faced bot attacks that caused some downtime, but with Cloudflare, the issue was resolved quickly.
  • During the website relaunch, a human error caused the site’s load time to increase to 20 seconds, which was later fixed.

Student Safety Software Team

The Student Safety Software Team ensures that students learn in a safe and secure online environment, protecting them from digital threats and harmful content.

Achievements

  • Deployed student safety software on 40 PCs in just 2 days, adding 388 students to the system.
  • The software helps monitor student activity, ensuring they use technology productively and safely.
  • The team has been working closely with POD leaders to ensure the software is running smoothly and effectively.

Challenges

  • Coordinating with non-technical POD leaders took extra time and effort, as many leaders were not familiar with the technology.
  • The team has worked hard to provide clear instructions, guides, and support to help POD leaders implement the software successfully.

Computer Team

The Computer Team focuses on managing and delivering hardware (like computers) to PODs, solving technical issues, and making sure everything is working for students.

Achievements

  • Delivered 15 PCs, with 30 PCs still in transit to Nagaland.
  • Resolved the NCT LFP issue by using old CPUs from the repossession lot at the AP office.
  • The POD Aspirant team has agreed on a date for repossession, resolving a long-standing issue.

Challenges

  • Balancing coordination between PODs, Apni Pathshala, and SCOGO during the repossession process has been difficult. The team is working to improve this for the next cycle.

Social Media and Marketing Team

Campaign winners receiving gifts

The Social Media and Marketing Team is responsible for promoting Apni Pathshala’s mission through engaging campaigns and interactive posts. They help spread the word about digital education and encourage students to get involved.

Achievements

  • Successfully concluded the Chalo Seekhe campaign, with the winner receiving their gift and sharing photos and videos with it.
  • The growth in followers continued as the team engaged more students in the learning process.

Challenges

  • Although the Chalo Seekhe campaign was a success, this week saw no viral content. However, the engagement and follower growth remain steady.

Conclusion

It’s been a week full of achievements, learning, and growth. Every team at Apni Pathshala, from the POD Team and Tech Team to the Social Media Team has been working hard to ensure students have a smooth, safe, and engaging learning experience. Despite facing some challenges, each team has shown great dedication and teamwork to continue making a positive impact. We look forward to even more success in the weeks to come!
